Focus On Community
Why We’re Committed to Giving Back
At the Nick Fundytus team, we believe that contributing to our community and supporting important causes is a vital part of who we are. That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ll be participating in two incredible fundraising events in 2025:
- The Coldest Night of the Year Walk (CNOY) on February 22nd, 2025.
- The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Trek in Cambodia this coming October.
Each of these initiatives is close to our hearts, and we’re inviting you to join us in making a difference.
The Coldest Night of the Year Walk (CNOY)
The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly fundraising walk that raises awareness and support for people experiencing hunger, homelessness, and hurt in communities across Canada.
Our team is pledging to raise $2,500 for this vital cause, and on February 22nd, we’ll be lacing up our boots and walking through Ottawa’s chilly streets to show our support for those who need it most.
Why This Cause Matters:
- Ottawa winters can be harsh—imagine facing that cold without a warm place to call home.
- Funds raised through CNOY walks support local shelters, soup kitchens, and programs that provide housing and meals.
- We believe that housing is a right, not a privilege.
By participating in this walk, we’re taking a small step toward helping those in our city who need it most.
How You Can Help:
- Join our team: You can walk with us and be part of the fun and fundraising!
- Donate to the cause: Every contribution helps us reach our $2,500 goal.
- Spread the word: Share our CNOY page with friends and family.

The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Trek in Cambodia
In October 2025, I’ll be embarking on a personal challenge: a 10-day trek in Cambodia to raise $6,000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
This trek isn’t just about adventure—it’s about raising funds to support women and children escaping domestic violence in our community and across Canada. Every dollar raised goes directly to shelters and programs that give survivors a chance to rebuild their lives in safety.
Why This Trek Matters:
- Domestic violence affects thousands of women and children every year.
- The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation ensures that 100% of donations go directly to the cause, with no administrative fees.
- Housing is about more than bricks and mortar—it’s about creating safe, stable environments where people can thrive.
What the Trek Entails:
- We’ll trek through rugged terrain, lush jungles, and rural villages to challenge ourselves physically and mentally.
- I’ll be camping, hiking, and connecting with fellow participants who share a commitment to supporting survivors of violence.
How You Can Support My Trek:
- Donate to my campaign: Help me reach my $6,000 fundraising goal.
- Cheer me on: Follow my journey as I prepare for the trek and share updates.
- Learn more about the cause: Domestic violence shelters need year-round support, and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation makes it easy to contribute.
